...and sends Rachel running to give obeiance to the Porcelain god. (If this keeps up were going to have to build a bigger shrine)! I told Rachel that I felt like we had bonded as sorority sisters. Michael and I went on to explain the concept of heavy drinking in college and a "Rite of Passage" is to become so smashed from drinking that you throw up, while someone else holds your hair out of your face. She agreed with us that the concept of that becoming a fun experience was completely flawed! Rachel, before getting sick, was working on her school report on the goddess Hera. I located several sites for her to do some research, so as she was sick I was running with this whole Porcelain god theme and wondered, out loud, what this god's symbol would be. Michael figured it would be a horseshoe, but upside down, of course! We apologized to Rachel for taking her situation so light-heartedly, but explained that we had been going through this with each kid, or ourselves for 3 weeks, so we were getting rather "punchy" from prolonged lack of sleep (and probably some lost electrolights).
